The investigative department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv Oblast is conducting a pre-trial investigation into criminal proceedings involving officials from the executive committee of the Irpin City Council.
The subject of all these proceedings is the mayor of Irpin, Oleksandr Markushyn, who recently attempted to publicly deny any involvement in corruption and crimes. However, the police have refuted his claims, as indicated in a response to a lawyer’s inquiry.


In particular, Oleksandr Markushin is involved in the following criminal proceedings:

- N12023111040001176, Part 4 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code.
These cases involve the misappropriation of budget funds, salary schemes, manipulation of shared contributions, and the diversion of funds to associated companies.
Additionally, Markushyn is a subject of criminal proceedings by the Bucha Prosecutor’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigation.
