On Wednesday, July 24, a large meeting of city council deputies took place at the Irpin City Council, involving the city leadership and heads of departments and structural units of the executive committee. This meeting was initiated following the so-called “salary scandal,” which concerned the inflated salaries of executive committee employees and the refusal of Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushiyn to present the proposal from the deputies and the council secretary regarding the optimization of the executive committee’s staff and the reduction of bonuses for employees during the city council session. To clarify the situation, deputies directed questions directly at the heads of departments. Watch the video to see how it all unfolded.
