In Irpin, the implementation of the territorial defense support program is being sabotaged. This comes at a time when the President, the National Security and Defense Council, and the Security Service of Ukraine are taking a hard line against the Kremlin’s fifth column. For three months now, Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn has been blocking the inclusion of this issue on the city council’s agenda, notes human rights activist and commander of the security company at the military enlistment office, Vitaliy Kupriy. He believes such actions can be regarded as treason or a switch to the enemy’s side.
