The relevant decision was made today by the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv. Markushyn has been suspended from fulfilling his duties as mayor of Irpin until July 23.
Earlier, the Pechersk Court also extended the pre-trial investigation period and night house arrest for Oleksandr Markushyn for another month.
Reminder: The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) suspects Markushyn of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (organizing the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine). He was officially served a notice of suspicion on January 23 in this case.
