By following the link, it becomes evident that the article about the scandal surrounding the reconstruction of Irpin, where journalists discovered that Mayor Markushyn’s entourage received half a billion UAH for the reconstruction, was hidden.

This information is also confirmed by the publication ‘Parlament.ua.’ One of their articles was also hidden. According to the publication, this ‘internet cleanup’ is being carried out by Markushyn’s friends.

‘It is evident that we are dealing with a well-known fraudulent scheme involving the DMCA – the American “Digital Millennium Copyright Act.” Scammers have been using it for years to launder the reputations of corrupt officials, bandits, and various fraudsters in Google search results… This service costs from 200 USD on the Ukrainian black media market and is the cheapest option available, leaving many traces such as publication notifications via Google Console. This is done by black PR agents who file “fake” complaints and lawsuits about materials that their clients dislike,’ noted ‘Parlament.ua.’

It is worth mentioning that several materials have been removed from the search results overall, including articles published on the ‘My Kyiv Region’ website. Complaints about them were sent by Oleksandr Koval and Anatoliy Ondar. Who they are and why they are so concerned about Markushein’s reputation remains unknown.
