This year, the city of Irpin received almost 313 million UAH in state subsidies. The vast majority of these funds—295.6 million UAH—was allocated for the reconstruction of multi-apartment buildings damaged during military actions. However, as of early October, the Irpin City Council executive committee has spent only 64.2 million UAH, meaning the rest of the allocated funds remain unused. This information was shared with ITV journalists by a source within the city council.
For example:
48.1 million UAH was allocated for repairs to a building at 4 Shevchenko Street. Although repairs began in November of last year, no work has been observed at the site for more than two months. So far, only 6.7 million UAH has been paid to contractors.
A budget of 21 million UAH for the restoration of the building at 54-a Kotliarevskyi Street remains completely unused.
Of the 37 million UAH allocated for the repair of the building at 10 Myr Street, only 2.9 million UAH has been spent.
15 million UAH out of a total 79 million UAH for the reconstruction of 107 Soborna Street has been utilized.
For repairs to 61 Poltavska Street, 15 million UAH has been spent out of an allocated 37.6 million UAH.
Additionally, over 11 million UAH set aside in 2023 for the renovation of the Department of Labor and Social Protection headquarters remains unused. The project aimed to create a municipal center for social services.
