The Mayor of Irpin, Oleksandr Markushyn, dismissed a city council employee who is a single parent of a child with a disability.

According to City Council Secretary Anzhela Makeieva, Markushyn’s decision was based on a forged session resolution.

The woman sent a letter to the city leadership requesting not to be dismissed, but the mayor ignored her appeal.

Additionally, it is known that Oleksandr Markushyn also dismissed the administrator of the local Administrative Service Center (CNAP), who is the legal guardian of an elderly woman with a disability.

It is worth recalling that on January 24, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv selected a preventive measure for Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn in the form of detention until March 22, with an option for bail set at 30 million UAH.

The preventive measure was applied within the framework of a criminal case in which Markushyn is suspected of committing an offense under Part 2 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (organization of illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine). This offense carries a penalty of imprisonment for a term of five to seven years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
