While Markushyn’s lawyers are trying to get him off the hook for the boiler room theft case, lawyer Yevheniia Rostolopa insists:
“Ruslana Lavreniuk was Markushyn’s assistant at the time when he transferred the municipal boiler house.”
This is not the first time Rostolopa has provided comprehensive assistance to the investigation. Despite attempts by Markushyn’s lawyers to downplay the value of the land and boiler house property, Rostolopa emphasized the real market value in her post:
“The market value of land for development in Irpin is from 10 to 25 thousand dollars per one sotka (100 m²).”
It was exactly one sotka of land under the boiler house that Teploenergopostach head Oleksandr Markushyn illegally took and transferred to his godmother, Liudmyla Haina.
According to Yevheniia Rostolopa’s assessment, Markushyn’s theft of the boiler house caused damage to the Irpin community amounting to between 410,000 and 1,025,000 UAH — an especially large amount under the law, punishable by imprisonment, confiscation of property, and other sanctions.
We thank Ms. Rostolopa — her professional evaluation is crucial for both the investigation and the court.
